We care about our environment
No matter what we do: all our actions have an impact on people and the environment – whether it’s privately or at work. That’s why environmental protection is such an important subject for us, and we pay a great deal of attention to it.
Certified as sustainable
Certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, we meet high quality management and environmental management standards. Among other things, ISO 9001 certifies sustainable operational processes; ISO 14001 places its emphasis on the environmental aspect. These certifications are regularly checked by TÜV, Germany’s technical inspection body, and must be renewed every three years.
“Made in Germany” – and made to last
It has always been important to us that our products are made in Germany. This not only safeguards jobs sustainably but, due to the short distances, also avoids unnecessary emissions.
We also attach great value to the durability of our products. These can be used almost indefinitely. So, even if a new generation of cylinders comes on to the market, it continues to be compatible with older products to a great extent. You’re not under pressure to renew products immediately, because our devices are predominantly upwards and downwards compatible.
Measures in our own work environment
Much can also be done in our own work environment. In our training courses, for example, we offer the option of downloading detailed versions of our training materials to digital devices by QR code.
And much can also be done for the environment when it comes to the buildings we occupy. Our production building in Osterfeld is built partially of wood, for example. What is more, the interior lighting is by LED, which also saves resources.
Measures always in view
Thought of the environment once, took measures, now we’re finished? We don’t make it that easy for ourselves. It’s not only the certificates we’ve already mentioned that are regularly renewed. All other factors to do with environmental protection are reviewed on a continuous basis. We examine our processes regularly to see where we can become even better and save even more resources. And we don’t just consider our own company. We also keep our suppliers’ commitment to the environment in view at all times, being mindful of possible optimisations when it comes to packaging, delivery quantities and sources.
